As a new mum who has now been in the trenches, I understand why people tell war stories. My baby girl decided to come 4 days early, and in just 6 hours from the very first contraction to delivery, forcing me into a natural birth (no pain relief) that I was not prepared for.

And if I thought nappies would be the worst of it?

No body warned me how brutal breastfeeding would be.

Bookish Updates

Somehow between breastfeeding and sleep deprivation and healing, I managed to keep writing, and I am so thrilled to be able to say that Hailey Jade and I actually did finish Queen of Ever. We weren’t sure we were going to make it for a moment there but we did it! It’s available now from all major retailers.

With Queen of Ever done, I can now turn my attention to When You Burn Me. I’m hoping to have it done in time for the A Romantic Affair book signing in January. But I’ve learnt my lesson from the last release, so I haven’t officially decided on a date for it yet. Babies are apparently not very low maintenance.
